Stoke-on-Trent Heritage Places – Survey

Introduction

Known as the World Capital of Ceramics – Stoke-on-Trent is home to a number of heritage buildings and places. A city with a rich history, that has been an important centre for pottery manufacturing, coal mining and the steel industries and that still continues to blend industrial expansion, innovation and creativity.

There are distinctive historic buildings and heritage landscapes across Stoke-on-Trent that we want to preserve, restore and refurbish for the community and for visitors to the city to enjoy.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund recently announced the start of a 10-year journey with Stoke-on-Trent, through its new Heritage Places initiative, helping to address issues such as regeneration, sustainability and employment. Stoke-on-Trent will be one of the first nine places set to benefit from a share of £200m – targeted to unlock the potential of its
heritage.

To find out about what aspects of heritage you value most, and how you currently engage with heritage initiatives and sites, we would welcome your views and thoughts.

If you could please spare around 10 minutes to complete this survey, it will help us to know where to focus resources and efforts, as well as to provide vital information to plan for the future.
